Chapter 513 - 488: Wedding Day (Part 3)
The first version of the makeup was with straight brows, slightly uplifted at the ends, with intense eye makeup and retro red lips, parted bangs, and an updo. This style looked very glamorous, though beautiful, it carried a hint of aggressiveness. However, the current makeover transformed the brows into willow-leaf thin ones, eye makeup to soft earthy tones, and lip color to gentle rose-red; the hair was loosened up a bit, while the previously traditional updo was changed to a romantic Korean-style braid.
This style now appears beautiful, with a touch of softness and lazy elegance, devoid of aggressiveness.
Sienna Thornton transformed directly from a polished, sharp image of a wealthy family daughter-in-law to a gentle, delicate modern bride.
She herself felt that this current look was much more appealing; the previous version, though glamorous enough to reflect a celebrity, seemed relatively mature and somewhat unapproachable.
And now, the new makeover is exactly to her liking—aside from being beautiful and delicate, it is much more comfortable, approachable.
The head stylist looked at her in the mirror and smiled: "Indeed, a best friend knows best about another."
Sienna heard the implication, asked: "Did Maeve suggest this change?"
The stylist nodded and said: "Maeve thought the previous style was too glamorous, just like a template with none of your strengths shown, so she suggested this change."
Sienna looked at herself in the mirror and smiled: "If only Maeve could be my bridesmaid today, I still remember learning makeup from her..."
Meanwhile, someone knocked on the door.
Aurora thought the groom was about to barge in with people, hurried to block the door, but it turned out to be Quentin Thorne carrying two large suitcases.
Quentin entered and immediately noticed his daughter’s new makeup, he was quite satisfied with this look, smiling: "Annie, you look beautiful today!"
Sienna shyly smiled: "Thank you, Dad."
Quentin placed the suitcases on the bed, opened them, saying: "I brought the gold accessories, Annie come see what you want to wear."
Sienna didn’t go herself, letting the stylist help her choose.
Seeing the two large suitcases full of various gold accessories, the stylist was momentarily stunned. Other stylists gathered around to see, their eyes almost blinded by the glint of gold.
Just the elaborate multi-layer chains had dozens of sets, not to mention the thick and solid dragon and phoenix bracelets, at least twenty pairs, and the numerous rings, earrings, and headpieces.
After a good while, the stylists selected a set of gold accessories that matched Sienna’s overall look, and once these were worn, her makeover was complete.
Quentin stood by watching throughout, and once the accessories were all on Sienna, he took the rest out to the secretary to send back to the bank’s safe deposit box.
After he left, one stylist admired: "Miss Thorne, your husband must be a second-generation wealthy, such extravagance! Most families only have a couple of sets of gold for weddings, while you have at least twenty sets here."
Sienna laughed: "It’s not twenty sets, it’s eighteen."
In fact, she didn’t do a thorough count; she just knew the Forrester Family is very fond of the number eight, whenever related to numbers, picking eight over ten if possible.
The stylists expressed their envy, yet from their experience near the entertainment circle, despite meeting many wealthy second and third generations chasing after female stars, most were short, fat, ugly and obnoxious, they subconsciously thought Sienna’s generous husband might also be a less appealing rich second or third generation.
.
Not long after Quentin went out, Sienna sat on the bed, the stylists helped arrange her skirt train.
She sat on the red bed, with the gown embroidered in gold and silver threads, and shyly lowered her face, like a blooming delicate flower.
Aurora went out to call Melinda Linton inside.
Seeing her daughter in the bridal outfit sitting on the bed, Melinda’s eyes turned red, she stepped forward gently hugging her daughter, softly saying: "Annie, Mom wishes you and Rex harmony and love as a couple, a life full of happiness, with abundant offspring, never separated!"
As she spoke, she took the red veil from the tray that Aurora was holding and personally put it on Sienna.
Before the veil was put on, Sienna tearily looked at Melinda, and as the veil dropped, both mother and daughter shed tears.
.
With everything ready, Aurora escorted Melinda outside.
Wendy Jacobs and Rochelle Linwood were already blocking the door, with the groom, groomsmen, and best men crowding the entire hallway.
