Chapter 514 - 488: Wedding Day (Part 3)
Aurora Buckley escorted Melinda Linton back to the living room, then returned to the bride’s room entrance to block the door with the other two bridesmaids.Simon Forrester stood at the front, gestured, and Harrison Rowe quickly handed large red envelopes to the three bridesmaids, begging, "Ladies, for the sake of the red envelopes, let the groom in?"
The three bridesmaids weighed the envelopes in their hands, exchanged glances, accepted them, and laughed, "Do you think money can buy us off? Show some sincerity if you want to fetch the bride!"
At this point, Logan Lockwood stepped forward, pointing to the nine handsome gentlemen behind him, smirking, "Money won’t do the trick? Then, sisters, take a look at the guys behind me. Pick one, and he’ll go home with you tonight!"
Those with families, Tobias Blackwood, Aiden Chaucer, and Thomas Reed, instinctively stepped aside, indicating they’re not up for selection.
Seeing Jack Hawthorne, with a five-month-old son, still standing at the front as if he wanted to join the selection, Tobias Blackwood stepped up to pat Jack Hawthorne on the shoulder, nodding sideways warningly with his eyes.
Jack, who was enjoying the spectacle, asked, "What’s up?"
Tobias whispered sternly, "Aren’t you supposed to feed your kid tonight? Why are you standing there causing a scene?"
Jack snapped back to reality, covered his mouth, promptly rolled over to Tobias’s side, laughing and pounding his chest: "Damn! I almost thought I was single!"
Then, in a second, his expression changed, and he warned Tobias fiercely, "Don’t you dare tell Mavis Thornton."
Tobias shot him a speechless glare and ignored him, redirecting his attention to the unwed men and women still bustling outside the bride’s room.
The three bridesmaids were not shy by any means. Seeing the head groomsman claim they could take a gentleman home, the three exchanged silent glances and nodded.
Aurora Buckley stepped forward first, scanned the group of handsome men, pointed to Gavin Gale in the middle, and said boldly, "I want this handsome guy!"
The crowd pushed Gavin forward: "One down, let’s go, let’s go!" They didn’t even ask if Gavin was willing; they just pushed him over to Aurora without a word.
Gavin seemed taken aback, not expecting his brothers to sell him out so quickly, wearing an expression of utter resignation.
Next, Wendy Jacobs stepped forward.
Wendy, being young and freshly graduated, naturally picked Ronan Grant, who was also young and had a Korean vibe.
Ronan was a bit shy and was about to say he had a girlfriend, but before he could speak, he was already kicked out by his older brothers.
Finally, only Rochelle Linwood was left.
There were still three groomsmen candidates: Gage Grant, Logan Lockwood, Harrison Rowe, and the unwed gentleman, Rhonda Wagner.
Though Rochelle Linwood appeared quiet and aloof, she was quite beautiful, arguably the prettiest among the three bridesmaids.
Compared to the glasses-wearing, elegant Aurora Buckley, and the apple-cheeked, adorably-faced Wendy Jacobs, the tall, pale, and delicately featured Rochelle Linwood looked like a pure and charming lotus flower.
Beautiful girls who have a cool aura never lack admirers, and Gage and Logan were a bit eager, secretly competing with each other, hoping Rochelle would choose them.
In front of an interested girl, Gage maintained his usual nobleman’s demeanor without saying much, simply raising his eyebrows with a smile at Rochelle.
The cheeky Logan couldn’t care less, spewing cheesy pick-up lines at Rochelle, "Miss, you look familiar, like the white moonlight in my heart!"
Gage sneered, "You said the same thing to that girl at the bar last night."
Logan ignored him, still trying to woo with cheesy lines, when suddenly his shoulder was lightly bumped, and he saw Rhonda Wagner, who had been standing at the back, somehow already beside Rochelle.
Seeing Rochelle not oppose, Logan got anxious, waving at Rhonda, "Bro, no cheating! Did she call your name? If not, what are you doing going up there? Come back, come back!"
Just as he finished speaking, Rochelle still showed no opposition, standing next to Rhonda with the other bridesmaids.
Gage and Logan exchanged a glance, then looked at Harrison Rowe standing beside them.
In the group of handsome men, those who were married had already stepped aside, and those who weren’t were taken by the bridesmaids, leaving just them—three men whose combined age exceeded a hundred.
Logan whined, "What’s the deal? None of us groomsmen are wanted?" Then, he moved to pull Rhonda away, wanting Rochelle to reselect.
With an urgent need to fetch the bride, Simon stepped up, separating the two old gentlemen wrestling Rhonda away: "Alright, alright, save some energy for later!"
Gage and Logan were reluctant, feeling Rhonda cheated, glaring at him for a few seconds with resentment, then adjusted their suits and stepped back.
With an instant return to his aristocratic pride, Gage impatiently demanded, "What other tricks do you have? Unleash them all at once!"
