Chapter 512 - 488: Wedding Day (Part 3)

Over at the bride’s side, Sienna Thornton was up at five in the morning getting her makeup done. The makeup team was exclusively hired by Maeve, very professional with great technique, making the already beautiful Sienna Thornton even more elegant and stunning.

The team worked in divisions: Maeve’s personal stylist took care of Sienna’s makeup and hair, while several other stylists did the makeup and styling for the three bridesmaids.

The professionals worked efficiently, completing the styling for both bride and bridesmaids in less than three hours.

Sienna Thornton was wearing a dragon and phoenix coat made last year in Lumeria, with red silk embroidered in gold and silver threads depicting five blessings and a pair of lifelike dragons and phoenixes.

While the stylist adjusted her coat, she curiously remarked, "This dragon and phoenix coat must be quite expensive, right? The gold and silver threads almost fill up the entire outfit."

Sienna Thornton smiled, "My mother-in-law prepared it; I’m not sure about the price."

Aurora Buckley, standing by, laughed, "Your mother-in-law is so nice, preparing a wedding dress for you. That means she sees you as her own daughter."

Wendy Jacobs curiously asked, "Why is that?"

Rochelle Linwood explained, "Typically, a wedding dress is prepared by the bride’s mother. How often does a mother-in-law do that? If she is willing to prepare it, it clearly shows she treats her daughter-in-law as her own daughter."

Thinking of Sylvia Langley’s tiger-like actions previously, Sienna couldn’t help but laugh and looked at her three beautiful and lovely bridesmaids in the mirror, "Is that really the case?"

The three bridesmaids chimed in unison, "Of course it is!"

An older stylist among them said, "While I was adjusting the coat, I looked inside and it seemed like this coat is the work of the famous XX designer from Lumeria who specializes in Chinese wedding gowns."

"Wow! Her coats are really expensive!" said the stylist doing Sienna’s hair, "That one wealthy bride from Azure Harbor wore her coat before..."

Upon hearing this, everyone lowered their heads to examine the high-priced, top-end coat on Sienna, all envying her for having such a generous and loving mother-in-law.

As they chatted away, the outside suddenly became lively.

Aurora glanced at the time, "It’s eight minutes past eight; looks like the bridal party has arrived!"

"Perfect timing!" Wendy Jacobs leaned in to whisper in Sienna’s ear, "Boss, we’ll go check it out. You stay in the room and don’t come out yet! The jewelry hasn’t been brought over!"

Sienna turned back, gently patted her arm, and said warmly, "Go ahead."

The three bridesmaids then went out to block the door.

The styling team gave Sienna one last inspection, ensuring everything was perfect, and then sat down to rest for a moment.

Since the Forrester Family sent over a lot of gold jewelry, Sienna didn’t need to go out and buy any herself. The only suitable piece for today’s Chinese wedding was the glassy high jadeite bracelet Old Mrs. Thorne had given her.

Now they waited for Quentin Thorne to come back from the bank’s safety deposit box with the gold jewelry, so Sienna could finalize her look.

As they sat in the room waiting, feeling a bit bored, one stylist, perhaps chatting with Maeve, suddenly asked, "Miss Thorne, Maeve asked if I could take a photo of you as you are now. Is that okay?"

"Of course." Sienna replied with a smile, standing up gracefully for the photo. "Will Maeve be back tomorrow?"

"Yes, she’ll be arriving in Brimfield by ten tonight."

Sienna nodded, "That’s good. I’d feel very regretful if she missed my wedding."

The stylist looked at her, as though wanting to say something but hesitated.

After a while, Maeve replied back.

Seeing the stylist looking at her hands, Sienna asked curiously, "What is it? What did Maeve say?"

"She mentioned you didn’t get your nails done, and asked us to paint them a nice color."

Sienna clasped her hands and smiled, "No need; I don’t like nail polish—it’s all chemicals and not good for the body."

"Alright then." The stylist lowered her head to text back to Maeve.

Sienna felt a warm feeling in her heart and quietly said to the stylist standing beside her, "Maeve has such sharp eyes, can tell from a photo that I didn’t apply nail polish..."

Before she could finish her sentence, the stylist texting Maeve stood up, walked up behind Sienna, examined her reflection in the mirror once more, then called over the other stylists to slightly adjust her look.

This adjustment took an hour.

Finally, it was done, just as Aurora came in and was surprised to see Sienna’s new look, "Wow! This style is even prettier! Oh, it’s so gorgeous! Even more beautiful than a celebrity!"

Sienna looked at herself in the mirror.
