The surrounding demons were all shocked to see the demon commander smashed with a single blow from Alidus.
They couldn't believe that their demon commander had been taken down just like this.
But Alidus didn't hesitate after taking down the demon commander.
He continued to move towards the next demon commander.
That was because that was what his job was in the first place.
He had a relic that could harm the demon commanders and purify the dark corruption energy that they wielded. That made Alidus the perfect person to assassinate the demon commanders while the undead monsters were keeping them busy.
If he didn't do this fast enough, then the undead monsters wouldn't be able to hold on.
So the key right now was to go as fast as he could and take out as many demon commanders as possible.
With Alidus' size, he was able to quickly make his way across the battlefield and with the shock that came from his assassination of the first demon commander, the other demons were just too stunned to make a move.
All they could do was stand there and watch this happen.
That was until some of the demon commanders gave orders for the demons to stop Alidus.
It was only then that the demons came back to their senses and wanted to stop him.
However, that didn't mean that they were capable of this.
While the demons had been in a daze, there were golems that had appeared under them. The golems didn't do anything while the demons were in a daze, but the moment that the demons came back to their senses and started to move, the golems also made their moves.
There were these rotten flesh hands that came out of the ground that grabbed all of the demons that wanted to get in Alidus' way.
These golems cleared the path for Alidus to reach the next demon commander.
The demon commander could feel the pressure coming from Alidus, but he also wasn't able to run away since there were the undead monsters that were keeping him in place.
There was a part of the demon commander that wanted to curse them, but he also knew that this wasn't the time for it.
So the only thing that the demon commander could do was send some of his limbs down into the ground as a last resort.
As for why he did that...
When Alidus arrived in front of the demon commander, the undead monsters moved out of the way to give him a clear path to reach the demon commander.
He had his club raised high and was prepared to bring it right down on the demon commander.
The demon commander did the same thing as the other demon commander, using a wall of limbs to stop Alidus from approaching him. But it didn't seem like he was depending on this at all as he was already moving out of the way.
It was as if the demon commander was already prepared to cut these limbs loose as a distraction.
The real attack was...
"Behind you!"
This was good news for the humans, but bad news for the demons.
There were some demon commanders that tried to work together to stop Alidus, but they found that they just couldn't keep up with the strange movements that he had. No matter how hard they tried, they weren't able to keep up with the strange beast like movements that he
used.
They would also lose track of Alidus before being smashed by his club.
Even if they tried to protect themselves with a wall of their limbs, it just didn't work at all as the power of the club shattered right through the demon commanders.
It really seemed that at this rate, there was nothing that the demons could do to fight back.
It really seemed like this was the end for the demons.
However, even seeing all of this, I didn't let my guard down.
If this was all that the demons had, then it would end with Alidus destroying the rest of the demon commanders. But if it wasn't all that the demons had, then I couldn't let my guard
down.
There was nothing to lose from keeping my guard up.
The biggest thing was that even though they could see the demon commanders being taken down, it didn't seem like the demons were about to run.
This was very strange since last time, the demons started to run when they were suppressed
by the power of the divine relics that we had. They seemed to run as soon as they thought that
they were going to lose.
The only reason that they stopped was because the demon commanders had executed the traitors and had revealed their power.
But if the demon commanders were being occupied, that gave them the perfect chance to run.
Yet they didn't run.
That just meant that there had to be something else that was keeping the demons from
running away...
"This isn't working, we have to use our final trump card!"
One of the demon commanders suddenly shouted at the other demon commanders that were
left.
There had been over twenty of them before Alidus started his rampage, but now there were only five of them left and one of them seemed to be Alidus' next target. This was the same demon commander that suddenly called out to the others.
When the other demon commanders heard this, they had grim looks on their faces that also
had traces of unwillingness. It was as if they didn't want to admit that they had to use their trump card like this.
But they also knew that they didn't have a choice.
If they didn't do anything now, it would be the end of them.
