Chapter 271: Endless Messages
Chapter 271: Endless Messages
Back in college, it wasn’t just him; lots of people were curious to see what Leo Grant, this untarnished presence, would be like in a relationship.
Liam Miller had witnessed it firsthand, and essentially, he wasn’t much different from anyone else.
"I’m heading out; I’ll get the photos to you as soon as possible."
Liam glanced at the watch on his wrist and said in a calm tone.
He’s usually quite busy, and taking time off to do Leo’s wedding photography meant pushing aside many things. Friends held significant importance to him.
"Photographer Miller, how much do you charge these days?"
Leo casually asked. Of course, he couldn’t expect Liam to help for free; they should still pay him.
Friendship and money, in some aspects, are two separate things and should be kept distinct.
"Free of charge."
Liam gave a slight smile, his hands tucked into his pockets, and replied seriously.
Helping out friends is the right thing to do, especially since it’s not a big deal and happens to be in his area of expertise.
Talking money is too mundane.
"Of course, I wasn’t planning on paying you anyway."
Leo raised an eyebrow, speaking in a straightforward manner, his tone calm.
As Liam was about to leave with his equipment, he suddenly stopped and looked back at Leo, "Let’s just say it covers the token money for the wedding."
He gave a slight smile and then left.
Of course, the whole thing about covering the wedding gift was a joke.
"Your friend is quite famous."
"Hard to book, his photos are top-notch and pricey."
"We got quite a bargain."
Holly Sawyer had changed out of her wedding dress and removed her makeup. Propping her chin up with her hand, she spoke softly.
She’s someone who knows a lot of people, but those people don’t necessarily know her.
When she first saw Liam, Holly was quite surprised that Leo had managed to invite this big shot.
Liam ignores the affluent, and when accepting assignments, he cares about mood and the content of the shoot, not something money alone can secure.
Sure, Leo’s face carried weight, but in Liam’s world, it didn’t necessarily hold much sway. Holly initially wondered how much effort Leo had to spend to get him here.
To her surprise, they knew each other well, and they got the photoshoot for free.
"You seem to know quite a bit."
Leo chuckled lightly, gazing warmly at Holly.
Holly knew a lot, perhaps even more than he did, with her head filled with countless thoughts.
"Well, I know a little bit here and there."
"I know many people, but they don’t know me."
"To put it another way, the ’me’ they know doesn’t look like this."
Holly spoke slowly, not finding it something to be secretive about.
There’s something Holly hadn’t mentioned to Leo; she simply forgot to bring it up. Sometimes she has so many identities, so many secrets, that she forgets some of them.
She only remembers occasionally.
"Is my wife keeping secrets from me, huh?"
Leo looked down at Holly, his eyes flickering with amusement, not at all angry.
"I never intended to hide anything from you from the beginning."
Holly said seriously.
Yes, from start to finish, she never intended to deceive Leo; she simply chose not to say anything.
When Leo asked if her identity wasn’t simple, she didn’t deny it, she just remained silent.
Leo nodded, "I know."
"I’m really good at makeup; I can play a lot of different roles."
Holly blinked gently and spoke slowly.
There are indeed many business matters she needs to handle, and whenever she personally appears, it’s often with an almost transformative makeup.
Therefore, the Holly people know is different from the Holly present now; she’s not even called Holly Sawyer in many cases.
As someone who’s climbed the ranks in the business world, it’s natural that she couldn’t always remain behind the scenes.
However, starting a year ago, she gradually began to fade out, opting for a more carefree lifestyle. After all, money was never an issue, and being laid-back doesn’t sound so bad.
Leo looked at Holly, "Hmm."
"I’ll tell you all about it slowly when the time comes."
Holly turned her head to look at Leo, smiling with charm and innocence.
There was too much in the past, too much for them to slowly talk through, after all, they have a whole lifetime ahead of them.
"My wife is truly unique."
Leo chuckled softly; he wasn’t careless about what Holly had said, but he was content to wait for her to tell him over time.
No rush, they have a whole lifetime’s time.
No matter what Holly turned out to be, what he liked, from the beginning to now, was just this girl named Holly Sawyer, not her identity or background.
"Of course."
Holly lifted her chin slightly, wearing a proud expression.
Since Leo praised her, she’d gladly accept it, after all, it’s not difficult at all.
That night, Leo posted their wedding photos directly on social media, instantly causing an explosion of comments below.
Private messages poured in one after another.
Having already received the marriage certificate, the stir from the wedding photos was naturally much less, but the flattering comments about Leo and Holly were still relentless.
There was no helping it, such a good-looking couple standing together was already a stunning scenery.
With the photos further perfected with touch-ups, they looked even better.
When you’re already good-looking and with added enhancements, how are others supposed to deal?
After Leo posted it, Holly followed suit, without any captions, just a few pictures, enough to stir up quite a scene.
The very two who had just caused a stir were leisurely lounging in the bedroom, munching on snacks and watching a movie.
The movie was projected on the wall, and the two watched it with great interest, letting their phones continue to ring non-stop beside them.
"Aren’t you going to mute your phone?"
Holly asked once more softly, stuffing popcorn into her mouth.
"No, I’m not going to," Leo shook his head, then looked at Holly, "You haven’t muted yours either."
"I don’t want to mute it either."
Holly blinked gently, then slowly shook her head.
Leo: "Why?"
Leo’s eyes held a playful look.
"Because it sounds quite pleasant; I’ve suddenly realized this sound is quite nice."
Holly’s eyes sparkled with humor, carrying a hint of mischief.
"What a coincidence, I think so too."
Leo’s lips curled up slightly; he spoke softly.
Both their eyes gleamed with a playful look.
Not long after posting on social media, their phones were ringing incessantly; probably notifications from comments, private messages, maybe even calls and texts.
It’s quite amusing, letting their phones continue to buzz, neither had the intention to check the messages.
Leo didn’t, and neither did Holly; both were quite relaxed, watching the movie.
"I think I might need to consider getting a phone with more storage."
Holly glanced at the still continuously ringing phone and said softly.
The messages are too much; maybe the phone can’t handle it all?
"I think I need one too."
Leo agreed, echoing Holly’s sentiment.
The two exchanged a glance and shared a laugh.
