Chapter 84 Pab and the Talkative Oppa
Chapter 84 Pab and the Talkative Oppa
It was past midnight.
The white Hyundai came to a smooth stop downstairs in the residential area. Jiang Yan turned off the engine and turned his head to look at the passenger seat.
Kim Minjung's head bobbed up and down, like a sleepy chick.
Jiang Yan softened his voice and reached out to rub her head. "Kotaro, we're home. Wake up."
Kim Minjung slowly opened her eyes, still somewhat dazed. She casually responded, then groggily unbuckled her seatbelt and followed Jiang Yan out of the car like a little tail.
There were only the two of them in the hallway. Kim Minjung yawned as he walked upstairs.
Upon arriving on the sixth floor, Jiang Yan took out his key, opened the door, and went inside.
Then she took out two pairs of shoes from the shoe cabinet, placed one pair next to Kim Minjung's feet, and said, "Okay, go take a shower first, I'll blow-dry your hair later."
"Okay." Kim Minjung nodded, went to the bedroom to get his pajamas, and then dragged himself into the bathroom.
A dozen minutes later, the bathroom door opened.
Kim Minjung came out, drying her hair. She was wearing slippers and was about to go back to her room.
"Minjung," Jiang Yan called out to her, then took out a hairdryer from the drawer. "Come here, dry your hair first."
"Oh, right, Oppa, wait for me."
Kim Minjung rushed into the bedroom, leaving Kang Yeon standing there alone, tilting his head in confusion.
In less than thirty seconds, she came running out, holding a small light blue box in her hand. She walked up to Jiang Yan, shoved the box into his hand, and then immediately turned her face away.
"Oppa, this is for you."
"Hmm?" Jiang Yan looked down at the box in his hand.
The wrapping paper was printed with tiny silver stars and tied with an exquisite silver ribbon. The edges were pressed neatly, clearly showing that a lot of thought had been put into the packaging.
"What is this?"
"You'll see when you open it."
Jiang Yan smiled, carefully untied the ribbon, and lifted the lid of the box.
There was a fountain pen lying inside.
The deep blue frosted pen body and the silver streamlined clip give it a warm and understated luster under the warm yellow light of the living room. The curvature of the pen body fits the fingers perfectly, and you can tell at a glance that it feels great in your hand.
"I bought this when I went back to Liangshan."
Kim Minjung turned his face away, his eyes lowered, "I bought it with the allowance you gave me. Anyway... anyway, I can't spend all the allowance you give me, so I thought I'd buy you something."
She paused, then secretly glanced at Jiang Yan quickly before lowering her head again, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks: "Now that you're a producer, you'll definitely be signing a lot of documents. You can't keep using those company pens, can you? That would be so embarrassing."
Jiang Yan held the pen, his fingertips tracing the delicate matte texture of its surface. He knew in his heart that the price of this pen was probably equivalent to one or two months of her allowance.
This girl usually can't even bear to buy a cup of milk tea, so I don't know how long she saved up for this one, or how many shops she went to on that old street in Liangshan, before she finally found one that suited her taste.
A warm feeling welled up from the bottom of his heart, and Jiang Yan's eyes softened even more.
He didn't say much, carefully placed the pen close to his body, and then plugged in the hair dryer.
"Come here and sit with your back to me."
Kim Minjung paused for a moment, then obediently moved in front of Kang Yeon and sat down with his back to him.
A buzzing, warm breeze ruffled her half-dry long hair.
Jiang Yan gently ran his fingers through her hair, his movements incredibly tender. He avoided her scalp with his fingertips, only using them to comb through the knots, afraid of hurting her.
Kim Minjung's body stiffened slightly. She could feel Jiang Yan's fingertips occasionally touching the back of her neck, bringing a slight tingling sensation, which made her heart beat faster involuntarily.
"Pabu." Jiang Yan's voice came through the hum of the hairdryer, carrying a tone of doting affection that he hadn't used in a long time.
Kim Minjung immediately bristled, pouting as she turned to glare at him, "What?! I kindly gave you a gift, and you're scolding me!"
"Hey, turn your body back, or you'll pull your hair."
"Oh... Hmph."
Hearing the soft moan, Jiang Yan reached out and gently patted the back of her head, a smile playing on his lips: "You, don't waste money like that again, okay? Keep your allowance for yourself to buy what you like. I don't need anything."
"No, no, no, oh my god, Oppa is so long-winded." Kim Minjung muttered, but the corners of her mouth couldn't help but turn up. She secretly twisted the hem of her clothes with her fingers, feeling sweet inside.
A few minutes later, my hair was dried and became fluffy and soft.
Jiang Yan turned off the hair dryer, wound up the cord, and put it back in the drawer. "Okay, go to sleep early. You have to go to the company for practice tomorrow."
"Um!"
Kim Minjung jumped up from the sofa and ran back to his room.
Just before closing the door, she leaned out halfway and waved her little hand, "Goodnight, Oppa!"
Goodnight.
The door to the master bedroom closed gently.
Kim Minjung lay on the soft bed, reached out and touched the silver dolphin tail pendant between his collarbones, then looked at the neat row of cosmetics on the bedside table.
Kim Minjung turned over, buried his face in the pillow, and chuckled softly.
The next morning, Jiang Yan got up at 6:30 as usual, made a ham sandwich, and heated two cups of milk.
When Kim Minjung came out of the room rubbing his eyes, breakfast was already laid out on the dining table.
"I'll take you to your company after you finish eating."
"Yes." Kim Minjung pulled out a chair and sat down, taking a bite of his sandwich. Suddenly, as if remembering something, he looked up and asked, "Oppa, it's Saturday today. Are you going to work?"
"I have something to do today, so I probably won't go."
"Oh well."
After finishing their meal and cleaning up the dishes, the two went downstairs together.
On Saturday morning in Seoul, the sun shone brightly.
Kim Minjung got into the passenger seat, fastened his seatbelt, and looked at the receding street scene in the rearview mirror. Suddenly, he asked, "Oppa, when do you think I'll debut?"
Jiang Yan held the steering wheel with one hand, thought for a moment, and then said, "Once you're ready, you'll naturally debut."
Kim Minjung pouted, not entirely satisfied with the perfunctory answer, and changed her question: "Then when can I move to Seoul?"
"Once you debut, you'll naturally have to move to Seoul."
"Oppa! You're so annoying, you're making me angry first thing in the morning."
"Really? Wasn't everything I said the truth?"
"Hmph, I'm ignoring you."
Jiang Yan smiled and continued driving towards SM. Soon, the car stopped at the side entrance of the SM building.
Kim Minjung unbuckled his seatbelt, grabbed his backpack, and jumped out of the car. Before leaving, he couldn't help but turn back and cling to the car door, asking, "Oppa, are you coming to pick me up tonight?"
"Come."
"Yes, Oppa, bye-bye!"
Kim Minjung waved happily and ran through the side door, his figure quickly disappearing behind the glass door.
Jiang Yan watched her enter the building, then turned the steering wheel, preparing to leave.
Just then, a file bag was suddenly handed in through the half-open car window.
