Chapter 987 - 985: Pressing Forward Courageously
Chapter 987 - 985: Pressing Forward Courageously
Igor was very anxious.
He couldn’t get in touch with Sol, or more accurately, he didn’t know how to contact Sol.
Shouting was useless, because the current situation in the Border Realm was beyond chaos; unless the two were particularly close, it was very hard to hear each other.
Igor kept running, constantly shouting short phrases to the Mos Brothers and Shana, hoping they could instantly understand his meaning so he wouldn’t be so tired.
Honestly, this was the best solution he could think of.
If he could just say a complete sentence to the Mos Brothers, he felt he could connect with Sol, and then there’d be a chance to retrieve the Spirit Binding Net and complete his plan.
But why did the Mos Brothers act like wooden blocks, always staring blankly at him without any reaction?
Shana too, apart from glaring and making sarcastic remarks, didn’t seem to notice anything...
This was driving Igor crazy!
Igor just couldn’t understand, was what he was saying really that hard to comprehend? He’d said it so many times, just a little effort to piece it together should lead somewhere.
And why were the attacks from the Soul Devourer Master getting heavier and quicker; this was making it impossible to catch a breath!
Even though Igor knew that stamina wasn’t a factor in the Border Realm, this repetitive action was making him feel a sense of fatigue. This fatigue gradually grew into impatience, irritation, and anger, eventually transforming into a restless agitation right before failure!
Calm down, calm down, Igor gradually brought himself back to a state of calm; letting emotions be swayed by others’ actions was a sign of failure.
Igor felt he couldn’t panic now; there was bound to be a way.
This was a form of self-comfort, but without it, he feared he might lose control and head directly toward failure.
Just as Igor was pondering how to express his full intent, a large hand lifted him up mid-run.
"This..." Igor knew it was the Mos Brothers’ hand, as only they had arms thick enough to lift him with one hand.
"What are you babbling about incessantly!"
"Uh..." Igor felt quite strange, where did the Mos Brothers find the time to lift him!
"Hurry up, to figure you out, we’re putting ourselves on the line!" One of the Mos Brothers said, lifting Igor while having to dodge and resist the Energy Light Balls from the Soul Devourer Master.
The Energy Light Balls had already done a lot of damage, many Resistors were scattered and disoriented, unable to comprehend the battle raging below.
Igor saw the Mos Brothers and Shana coordinating, fighting and retreating, surrounding him in the middle; the thick arm had placed him at the center of the three. Now, they formed a circle, protecting him in the center.
Shana and the Mos Brothers cooperated seamlessly. With their help, Igor finally felt he might have a chance to say a complete sentence to these Resistors.
"Why are you quiet, didn’t you just ramble a bunch of repeated statements, we were so confused, couldn’t tell them apart." Shana said sarcastically, her whip hadn’t rested, directly clashing with the Energy Balls several times!
"I..." Igor was momentarily at a loss for words, he hadn’t adjusted yet; the words he was about to say suddenly felt unfamiliar...
"Cut the delay, were you really hit?" One of the Mos Brothers grew worried, as the usually talkative Igor was now speaking word by word, this was abnormal!
"It doesn’t seem like it, plus we still don’t know what this guy’s trying to do, his behavior was odd before too." The other Mos Brother also felt Igor’s situation was off.
"So what do we do now?" Shana didn’t want to analyze too much, she was a bit weary, just wanting to know what to do next.
Igor tried to calm himself, only by staying calm could he communicate well with these people.
"I, I, I just want to know how to contact Sol, even though I can see him right ahead, I can’t get to him, so I have to use this conscious integration method..." Igor spoke a flurry of words, seemingly releasing all the suppressed words he didn’t dare to say earlier!
"Hm?" The Mos Brothers and others were shocked by Igor’s move, not expecting this young man to still be thinking of communicating with Sol, during such a time when the leader’s mere glance explained everything. What on earth was Igor trying to do?
Now was not the time for communication!
Igor saw these people unmoved, growing even more anxious.
"I must contact Sol, without him I can’t succeed!"
"What are you talking about, don’t you see everyone fighting the damned Energy Balls with all they’ve got? Can’t you see everyone is struggling desperately!" Shana thought Igor was simply being unreasonable!
"Do you guys even know!" Igor didn’t care how Shana saw it, still wanting to ask how to communicate with Sol.
"Is this something you must do?"
"We’re all pressing forward, at this moment we must take a gamble!" Igor said, he was speechless by these leaders, why not just speak directly, what’s the point of uttering complaints, it was a complete waste of time!
It was all due to the lack of mutual communication...
Igor’s words were perhaps too impassioned, even making the Mos Brothers somewhat excited.
"Alright, we press forward, take a gamble!"
With the Mos Brothers’ emotions stirred, their attacks quickened, surprising Shana a bit; she thought these big guys were simple, easily persuaded by words, just a few simple sentences and they’re swayed, really without principles...
However, even Shana seemed moved by Igor’s forwardness; now, apart from dealing with these Energy Light Balls, they couldn’t do anything else, it was somewhat frustrating.
So, she sincerely hoped Igor could come up with a new idea...
