Chapter 1189 - 1185: Still That Heartless Woman
"Luke Land, aren’t you hungry?" Eva Miller approached him and asked from behind. He didn’t respond to her immediately, and Eva felt that something was off with Luke today.
"I mean, Luke Land,..." She was about to say something when he suddenly turned around. Eva raised her eyes and saw his somewhat gloomy and deep gaze.
"What... happened to you?" She involuntarily stepped back a few paces.
He didn’t say anything, just pressed closer to her, staring at her delicate and lovely face for a long time. Did she wear a mask behind her innocent facade?
Eva was cornered against the wall, and suddenly she straightened her back. This is ridiculous, why should she, Eva Miller, fear him? Moreover, she didn’t even know what had provoked this deity-like figure to look at her so fiercely...
"I just came up to call you for dinner. Eat if you want; don’t look at me like you’re going to devour me." Eva pouted and reached out to push him.
Luke suddenly bent down, and with a bit of force, he picked her up horizontally and tossed her onto the bed.
He admitted that when he found out her phone call earlier in the day was to Oliver Johnson, the last shred of reason left his mind.
"Are you crazy!" Eva stood up, startled by the sudden violence. She had finally made up her mind to try to accept him and learn to get along, only for him to do something so disappointing...
"Little Chili, I want you right now."
If she were willing, then at least he wouldn’t have to think so much.
"Want what?" Eva glared at him fiercely, "Luke Land, why are you so fickle?"
He remained silent, approaching her. Eva clutched her collar tightly, retreating. He was testing her, wanting to see if she had truly moved on from Oliver Johnson. If she had, she should be able to accept him honestly.
Suddenly feeling oppressed, Eva didn’t think much and dashed for the door. She couldn’t let him have his way.
But just as her hand touched the doorknob, she was pulled back by him.
"Butler, help me!" Eva signaled for help to the butler standing at the door.
The butler had been standing at their bedroom door, but as soon as he heard Eva’s plea, he ran off immediately. It seemed this young master was about to erupt into a war with the Young Madam, and it was better to hide first. Hearing the footsteps fade away, Eva felt a wave of despair. How could he leave her in the lurch like this?
He hauled her back to the bed once more. Underneath him, she had no chance to resist, and her clothes were swiftly stripped away, leaving a mess on the floor...
"Luke Land, tell me first, why are you treating me like this?" Finally, she seemed to give up resisting and quieted down. She raised her eyes and asked, word by word, "Can’t we... just get along? Do you have to make me hate you?"
"Hate? Eva Miller, you’re my woman, and I touch you—does that make you hate me?" He curled his lips into a self-mocking smile, "I thought you had changed lately, but turns out, you’re still that heartless woman."
Heartless?
With which eye did he see that? If she were heartless, would she have been letting him have his way recently, not arguing or causing trouble? If she were heartless, would she care whether he ate or not?
