I Pioneered Scientific Magic

Chapter 512: The Origins and New Changes of the Society of Mystical Arts

Chapter 512: The Origins and New Changes of the Society of Mystical Arts

At precisely midnight, within the capital, the magic clock reversed by one hundred eighty degrees, signaling the arrival of a new day.

Aurora, having prepared earlier, activated the Ring of Arcana at the same moment.

Accompanied by a mysterious glimmer that lit up on the face of the ring, the witch’s perspective was immediately divided.

Before her lay an endless expanse of darkness—vast, broad, and endless—with countless points of light twinkling in the depths.

Aurora knew each point of light represented a star.

Although it wasn’t her first time here, Aurora was still amazed by the majesty of this miniature cosmos and how perfectly it replicated the celestial movements.

Soon, Harof and Victorio appeared beside her, with Lynn naturally among them.

Just as everyone gathered, the nearest point of light in this dark cosmic void suddenly began to expand rapidly.

In the next moment, a dazzling light engulfed everyone's vision, as a distant star met its demise, scattering vast amounts of light and heat into the empty space.

After an unknown length of time, the intense radiance began to fade, and Aurora, just regaining her sight, saw four figures slowly materializing in the void.

"Welcome to beyond time..."

A deep voice echoed in everyone’s ears, the speaker being an elderly man with disheveled white hair on the right, whom Aurora remembered as Albert Einstein.

"Friends, it’s been a while," Harof said, his voice warm with greeting.

Due to the ongoing imperial war, they had all been busy with war preparations and advancing to legendary status, leaving little time for these legendary meetings, which hadn’t been held in over a year.

Now as true legends, Harof felt confident facing the controllers of the Society of Mystical Arts.

Isaac Newton nodded in greeting and then added with a smile, "I’ve heard from some members of the Society that you’ve overcome the empire and dismantled the church?"

"Remarkable, Aila was not an easy foe," Bohr added approvingly.

"Indeed, the false god had power beyond our expectations, and if not for her sudden issues, the outcome of that battle could have been very different," Victorio admitted, still somewhat fearful. ꞦΑƝоβÈs

The abilities to limit their domains with divine projection, or control space with a gesture, were terrifying.

At most, they could only manage to drive her away...

"It’s a pity that during the attack on the holy city, it was only the four of us. If we could have had more legends, perhaps we could have resolved the matter of the false god once and for all," Aurora said, looking at the group, her tone tinged with regret and a subtle blame.

Clearly, she held a deep grudge against Bohr, Isaac, and other legends of the Society for not participating.

Destroying the empire and killing the false god would greatly benefit the entire wizard community—meaning their magic would no longer be restricted, nor would they need to hide from church pursuit.

In Aurora’s view, capable wizards should contribute their part to consign Aila to hell...

However, these fellow legends, earlier ascended and potentially stronger, showed no intention of intervening.

It was known that they had been on the front lines battling Aila, facing such a foe, even as legends, death was a possibility.

"It is indeed regrettable, we would have liked to help, but we probably couldn’t have been of much assistance..." Lady Curie said, shaking her head sadly.

At this, Harof, Victorio, and Aurora frowned slightly.

While history had its share of versatile geniuses like Newton, Tesla, and da Vinci, who excelled in a wide array of fields and achieved astonishing results, there were limits even to genius. A complete overhaul of scientific theory was beyond the capability of one person.

Moreover, he had just broken through to great wizardry not long before proposing the legendary ascension scheme, solving issues that the entire wizarding world had struggled with for centuries, and had an exceptional understanding of the micro domain, which was clearly highly unreasonable.

With the Society of Mystical Arts as a cover, building on existing knowledge to innovate made the entire process more acceptable.

Lynn thought this through as he controlled Bohr to continue speaking.

"When we researched the method to break through to legend, Aila had already seized the divine relic, beginning to purge any wizards who could threaten her rule, and our newly formed society was also targeted."

"Faith-based godhood, despite its flaws, could enhance power far beyond our researched ascension method."

"To find a method to defeat her and to find a suitable energy source for ascension, we ultimately chose to enter the other side of the time-space gate," Bohr succinctly stated.

This answer was unexpected for Harof and the others, but upon reflection, it made sense. That was the origin and end of everything, the source of the Moon God.

Without having researched fusion reactors, if there was a place to obtain sufficient energy, it must be on the other side of the time-space gate!

"What exactly is on the other side of the time-space gate?" Victorio asked, intensely curious.

Harof and Aurora also perked up, having always been puzzled by this question.

Bohr shook his head. "Unfortunately, we didn’t know before departing either, and those we sent to explore never returned, but given the circumstances, we had to take the risk!"

"The road ahead is unknown and comes with great risks, but we were prepared for the worst," Lady Curie added.

"This is why you left this miniature universe?" Harof gradually understood.

"Correct, this is a spark, a gift left for those who come after!" Isaac Newton explained. "We jointly created this magical domain and left part of our will and all our knowledge here, recruiting talented wizards to hope they could deduce a complete, replicable, legendary

ascension method for wizards."

"At first, it was just an empty dark space, but as generations of scholars from the Society of Mystical Arts brought their knowledge and research, it formed the scene you see now."

Einstein, Bohr, and Lady Curie each said a few words, further elaborating on the existence and setting of the Society of Mystical Arts.

As beings of knowledge and consciousness, they could not leave this miniature universe, relying on existing knowledge for deduction, with knowledge iteration depending on the Society members recruited, and computational power regularly used to maintain the simulated universe and celestial movements.

Only during changes in this world would they briefly appear.

For example, when a star headed towards destruction or when they sensed an external call...

"The Society of Mystical Arts had been lying low, unwilling to engage in large-scale conflict with the church, because it was essentially meaningless. If a method to ascend to legend couldn’t be found, defeating Aila and destroying the church was nearly impossible, only needlessly exposing ourselves!" Bohr finally explained.

Harof, Aurora, and Victorio took some time to fully digest this information, and their slight dissatisfaction and complaints about Bohr and others instantly vanished.

After all, they truly had no way to intervene, but providing guidance on the path to legend was already the utmost they could achieve.

"It seems Lynn was the one you chose!" Aurora mused.

Isaac Newton nodded affirmatively. "His talent in the field of magic is extraordinary, making him the most likely to deduce the legendary ascension method, so I suggested he might try traveling to the rumored Land of Wizards, where he could possibly find some help and gain more novel knowledge!"

At this, the faces of Harof and the others turned slightly awkward.

The Land of Wizards, having developed for hundreds of years without church interference, still had magic theory considerably "backward" compared to the Society of Mystical Arts. Instead, it was Lynn’s arrival that brought new changes to the Land of Wizards...
