Chapter 757: The Classic Henpecked Husband

When they arrived, many parents were already there. Every child had their mom and dad with them, holding little hands and smiling happily.After searching for a while, they finally found Timmy lying asleep on a desk in the classroom.

Everyone else was playing happily outside, only Timmy was all alone, which made Melody’s heart ache.

"Everyone’s already here, why did you bring me so late?" Melody glared at the man beside her.

Jared Quinn "..."

He was considering telling the principal that no parents should be allowed inside before the event starts.

In fact, it was his first time coming too, and without Melody, he might have chosen not to come at all.

Melody walked over lightly, gently covering Timmy’s eyes with her hands, "Timmy, guess who I am?"

Timmy hadn’t actually fallen asleep; he was pretending. The scene of families outside was a bit dazzling to look at. Thinking that his dad might not come back, he had told everyone today that his mom and dad would come,

but none of the kids believed him, thinking he was lying, and eventually, even he started doubting himself.

"Melody," Timmy immediately beamed with a smile.

Melody held his little hand, "Let’s go outside too."

In a place she couldn’t see, Timmy’s eyes were a little red.

Melody didn’t see it, but Jared did. He wondered when did this kid become so fragile. Is he really Jared Quinn’s son?

"Timmy, is this your daddy and mommy?" Many children and parents looked over at them.

Timmy immediately puffed out his chest, coolly put his hands in his pockets, and replied proudly, "Yeah."

"Timmy, your daddy and mommy look so fabulous," a little girl said.

"Of course," Timmy lifted his chin.

His little face was as conceited as it could be.

"Wow, I think I’ve seen your mommy on TV. I know your mommy is a big star,"

"She is," he replied in a particularly calm and steady voice.

Melody covered her mouth, trying hard not to laugh. Watching kids talk was just so interesting.

"Timmy, your daddy and mommy only came once, and you’re already so proud. Our parents come often and even drop us off and pick us up every day. Shouldn’t we be even prouder?" A chubby little boy nearby spoke up.

Timmy’s cool expression was starting to crack.

Melody glanced at that child. It was obvious the child’s parents knew Jared Quinn, so from time to time, they tried to cover the child’s mouth to stop him from speaking unnecessarily.

"Jared, what do you think about what that kid just said?" Melody pointed to the kid who spoke, glancing at the tall man beside her.

Jared Quinn "..."

He would never have thought Melody would settle accounts with him later.

Jared’s eyes looked at that child with a cold gaze, and the kid burst into tears.

"Why are you looking at him? I’m asking you," Melody raised her hands to block his eyes, "From now on, if there’s any event at Timmy’s school, you must come. Do you hear me?"

This made the people around gasp because anyone daring to speak this way had probably not been heard before.

Jared Quinn’s fine features showed no change in the light, as if being managed by Melody had become a habit.
