Chapter 507 - 483: Finally Waiting for You

Thanks to Simon Forrester’s various comforting talks and warm-hearted reassurance, Sienna Thornton felt much better. After a long day, she was already exhausted and soon fell asleep.Simon Forrester himself didn’t fall asleep as quickly.

He sent a message to Harrison Rowe, reminding him not to forget to queue for them at the civil registry at three in the morning, and then went online to check the case involving the youngest child of the Linton Family.

He’s not a lawyer nor interested in criminal cases, but since that person is Sienna Thornton’s only living uncle, her mother’s only sibling, he felt he should know what this case is about and see if there’s anything he can do to help...

.

February 14th, 2022, the 14th of the lunar month, and one day before Simon Forrester and Sienna Thornton’s wedding.

Since neither slept well the night before, Simon Forrester’s phone alarm went off repeatedly as they lay in bed until Harrison Rowe called and said that as a bachelor queuing at the civil registry, people guessed that he was doing it for someone else, and dozens of couples were teaming up to drive him away.

Only then did Sienna Thornton and Simon Forrester quickly get up, hastily dressed, took their documentation, and drove to the civil registry in the old town.

When they arrived, it was not yet eight, and Simon went to find parking while Sienna Thornton hurried to rescue Harrison Rowe.

True enough, at the civil registry entrance, there were at least dozens of couples, all there to register for marriage on this Valentine’s Day, February 14th.

Initially, those people surrounded Harrison Rowe with various opinions, but when Sienna Thornton stepped forward, they mistakenly thought she was part of a couple and didn’t say anything further, allowing Sienna and Harrison Rowe to queue first.

As they queued, Sienna Thornton kept looking back to see if Simon Forrester was coming while overhearing behind her a couple gossiping softly about her and Harrison Rowe.

"Look at that girl; she’s pretty tall. Why did she choose a short guy? He doesn’t even look particularly wealthy..."

"Maybe the guy has other charms?..."

As they said this, the couple laughed ambiguously.

Sienna Thornton increasingly felt something was wrong and was about to turn and tell those couples to stop talking, only to see Harrison Rowe quietly move away.

At this point, essentially, Sienna stood within the line, while Harrison Rowe had downright retreated a meter outside the line.

"Harrison!" Sienna called him softly, gesturing for him to come over.

Harrison Rowe shrugged helplessly.

The couple behind continued gossiping, with the girl saying, "Seems like the guy might even be a bit disdainful towards the girl..."

Sienna Thornton was furious and turned around fiercely: "You all!..."

Before she could finish, Simon Forrester came running from the back of the line, carrying a woman’s bag in hand.

Sienna quickly beckoned him, "Come over!"

Seeing his boss arriving, Harrison Rowe also quickly stepped aside.

Simon Forrester ran to Sienna’s side to queue up. Perhaps he ran too fast, his breath came in slight puffs, yet upon arrival, he immediately grasped Sienna’s frostbitten hands and blew warm breath on them.

After warming her hands, he stuffed her no longer cold little hands into his coat pocket, softly asking, "Cold?"

Sienna shook her head, "Not cold. Where did you park?"

"There was no parking space in the lot, so I casually parked by the roadside."

"Oh no! Aren’t you afraid of getting a parking ticket?"

Simon nonchalantly replied, "So be it, I’m not scared of a parking fine, am I?"

"... Your car might get towed too."

Upon hearing this, Simon quickly pulled the car keys from his jeans pocket and tossed them to Harrison Rowe standing nearby, "Find a parking spot for my car."

Harrison, lost in some thought, didn’t catch it immediately and the car keys fell to the ground. He hurriedly picked them up, then ran off to park the car for Simon.

At this moment, Sienna heard the man from the gossiping couple behind say, "Lamborghini..."

The woman, "Now this guy looks like a rich man... That short guy earlier seemed like an employee..."

The man, "I figured!"

Simon Forrester also overheard, and roughly guessed what the couple had been saying, amused and leaning to Sienna’s ear to quietly inquire, "Did someone mistake you and Harrison as a couple?"

Sienna face-palmed, "Indeed."

.

At eight, as soon as the civil registry opened its doors, Sienna Thornton and Simon Forrester practically dashed inside at sprinting speed, swiftly grabbing forms to fill out, then headed to the marriage examination department for various tests.

Together, they went for blood tests, handing their samples at the testing window, then separately going to male and female departments for medical check-ups, finally meeting up at the testing section entrance.

Half an hour later, having collected all the reports, they went to the registration window for the final registration.

The marriage examination report, copies of their respective documents, marriage application form, and marriage photos were handed over, and as usual, the registrar asked a few questions, such as whether they are marrying voluntarily, before pressing the emblem on it. With that, the marriage certificates were complete.

With those sacred little red booklets in hand, they stepped out of the civil registry, standing at the entrance, both momentarily unsure of what to do.

It was Simon Forrester who realized first, laughing as he lifted Sienna Thornton and spun her around several times, excitedly shouting, "Sienna Thorne! I love you! I, Simon Forrester! Forever and ever! Love you!"

Harrison Rowe stood nearby grinning, grabbed his phone, captured the scene, and posted it online with the caption – Thirty-two-year-old single boss finally marries his goddess on Valentine’s Day at thirty-five! Congratulations, boss! May you both be happy!

In the photo he attached, with the blue sky and white clouds at Brimfield’s civil registry entrance, Simon Forrester and Sienna Thornton both dressed in khaki woolen coats, blue jeans, white shirts paired with red crew-neck sweaters.

Simon Forrester lifted Sienna high, twirling her, with the picture freezing in a moment where Sienna wrapped her arms around his neck, laughing heartily towards the sky.

In less than ten minutes, that post acquired countless likes, likely over a thousand.

Harrison rowe’s social media mostly included designers from the architectural field, owners of major real estate, engineers’ bosses, people spread across the nation and the globe. Now, everyone knew that Simon Forrester, heir to the Forrester Family and once hailed as one of the top ten young design masters in architecture, married his first love girlfriend whom he’d dated for three years.

They heard that the girl was from a humble background, once an ordinary rural peasant who arrived in the city, yet even the proud and wealthy Simon Forrester loved her deeply.

...

Having obtained their certificates, Simon Forrester and Sienna Thornton felt so special, deciding to celebrate at the "BJ Bright" restaurant where they shared their first formal date after confirming their relationship.

Three years later, returning to this spot, the restaurant hadn’t changed, and neither had they--everything as it was.

Hand in hand, they settled in the spot by the window where they sat initially.

Sienna Thornton giggled all the way, while Simon Forrester seemed quite similar.

During the waiting time for dishes, each held onto a marriage certificate, gazing at the photo and its contents, filled with emotions.

After a while, Sienna Thornton asked, "I want to post on social media, would you like to?"
