Chapter 523 - 497: Wedding Day (Part 12)

The two were chatting quietly, their mouths almost pressed to each other’s ears. The originally fast-moving group of groomsmen suddenly stopped.

Harrison Rowe separated his body, which was almost glued to Logan Lockwood, and looked ahead.

Simon Forrester looked at them with disdain: "Do you want to get a room and get cozy?"

Logan Lockwood was the first to respond, shouting, "Damn! What are you talking about? If you ruin my and Harrison’s reputation like this and we can’t find partners, you’ll be responsible, okay?"

Simon Forrester ignored him and turned to instruct Aiden Chaucer: "Keep an eye on them tonight, there are elderly and children at the banquet, and their behavior isn’t very appropriate."

Harrison Rowe: "..."

Logan Lockwood: "..."

.

Simon Forrester and the groomsmen did a round of inspections at the wedding venue, ensuring everything was in order, before returning to the honeymoon suite.

Upon entering, Sienna Thornton was already made up and having her hairstyle done.

Seeing her wearing the sapphire necklace from the bank safe and the crown placed aside, Simon Forrester asked, "Has Quentin come?"

Sienna Thornton nodded: "He just went down, didn’t you meet him?"

"No," Simon Forrester replied, then jokingly added, "He’s probably gone down to check if the flowers at the wedding are real or fake."

Sienna Thornton was unaware of the flowers issue, so she changed the subject: "What time are we going down?"

Simon Forrester glanced at his watch: "We’re going down at 7:45, entering at 8 sharp." Knowing she wasn’t experienced with Western weddings, he explained the process to her.

Hearing that Quentin Thorne would be officiating tonight, Sienna Thornton grinned, "Did you see Quentin’s speech?"

"No way he’d let me see it," Simon Forrester chuckled, "Watch how Quentin roasts me tonight. This guy, if he’s displeased with you, won’t say it directly but will beat around the bush with nonsense, making you feel good initially until you later realize—you were being mocked!"

Sienna Thornton laughed loudly and comforted, "What occasion is it today, no way he’d mock you? Relax."

Simon Forrester snorted a couple of times and moved aside to look at the suit he was going to change into later.

To match Sienna Thornton’s red toast dress, his suit was also red, slightly brighter than the darker morning shade.

Seeing it now, he felt a bit out of place and grumbled, "Why did my mom get me this color? Makes me look like I’m going for a bullfight."

Sienna Thornton glanced over: "It’s fine, this red looks quite comfortable, a bit like claret."

She then remembered Simon Forrester never wore bright clothes and laughed, "It’s okay, you’ll only wear it for a while, an hour or two, bear with it."

As they spoke, Jack Hawthorne entered, his love for all things bright and shiny prompting him to exclaim, "Wow! Jules, that suit looks amazing! Even better than the one from this morning! I’m tempted to get a few red suits to wear in spring."

Simon Forrester didn’t bother with him.

Sienna Thornton looked at him and laughed, "My husband isn’t one for bright clothes."

"That’s why he lacks romance!" Jack Hawthorne quipped, glancing at Simon Forrester with a grin, "Just like Ian; he usually wears only black, white, and gray. But on his engagement day, Rowan got him into a purple suit."

Sienna Thornton asked, "Who are Ian and Rowan?"

Simon Forrester explained, "Rowan is my mom’s cousin’s daughter, Ian is our fellow alum from Q University."

Sienna Thornton understood: "Your friends from The South."

Before Simon Forrester could respond, Jack Hawthorne had already started chattering, telling her how they met at Q University and became fast friends.

Sienna Thornton was puzzled, asking, "How did all you different personalities get together?"

In her view, Jack Hawthorne was flashy and flamboyant; Gage Grant and Logan Lockwood were reserved and cunning; Tobias Blackwood and Simon Forrester shared a calm and aloof demeanor, yet they all managed to play together, leaving her unable to envision it.

.

Jack Hawthorne chatted for a while until he received a call from Mavis Thornton and hurried down to meet his wife and son.

With Sienna Thornton’s hair styled, and her veil and crown on, they awaited Quentin Thorne to come up before heading down.

Simon Forrester was on the side making arrangements over the phone.

Standing with one hand in his pocket by the room’s floor-to-ceiling windows, the city’s sparkling night view and the vast sky outside served as his perfect backdrop.

Already handsome, and further enhanced by today’s festive spirit, he looked even more dashing.

Sienna Thornton gazed lovingly at her husband, feeling happiness overflow from her heart. Once he hung up, she sweetly called, "Husband, come here."

Simon Forrester, slightly surprised, quickly walked over, wrapped her in his arms, kissed her temple, and smiled, "Why so sweet?"

She stood on tiptoes, leaned to his ear, and softly whispered, "Husband, I love you..."

Not knowing why she suddenly became emotional, he could only hug her tightly and affectionately kiss her.

The bridesmaids and groomsmen chuckled nearby, and Gage Grant urged, "Hurry down, we’ll miss the auspicious time and Grandpa Forrester will be furious."

.

They all took the elevator down to the third floor.

Outside The Sage’s Banquet Hall, there was an entire wall of alternating fuchsia and white roses. In the middle of the roses was the wedding photo of Simon Forrester and Sienna Thornton, with gilded artistic English lettering below, reading: "FT, Welcome to our wedding."

The hall doors were already closed, with guests seated.

Two hotel attendants stood at the door, and several groomsmen and Quentin Thorne were waiting there.

Seeing his daughter come down, Quentin Thorne immediately went up to her, looked deeply for a few seconds, and smiled, "Annie, you look beautiful today."

He then called to the photographer, "Get more shots of the bride, they need to be shown to her mom."

The photographer nodded with a smile.

Simon Forrester quietly instructed Sienna Thornton to enter with Quentin Thorne later, as he would be waiting inside. After kissing her forehead, he entered the banquet hall with the groomsmen and friends.

Sienna Thornton covered her veil, took Quentin Thorne’s arm, and stood outside the door.

Quentin Thorne gently patted her hand and whispered, "Don’t be nervous, Daddy’s here."

She nodded tearfully, asking, "Are you prepared? In ten minutes, everyone will know you have an illegitimate child."

"I’ve been afraid they wouldn’t know," Quentin Thorne replied, "Annie, I’m proud of you."

His certainty contrasted sharply with the Forrester Family’s evasiveness regarding her background, as different as night and day.

The tears welled up in Sienna Thornton’s eyes.

She believed that besides Simon Forrester, she could also rely on her father.

.

Seconds before eight, the banquet hall fell silent.

The bridesmaids were nervous, "It’s time to go in!"

Quentin Thorne tightened his grip on his daughter’s arm, looked down at her, and softly reassured, "Annie, don’t be nervous, Daddy’s here."

As he spoke, the banquet hall doors suddenly opened.

The room filled with red flowers and golden light, causing Sienna Thornton to squint slightly.

The melodious music started, and she took Quentin Thorne’s arm, slowly walking into the hall step by step.

The long glass catwalk was strewn with fresh, fiery red roses. The light reflected off the glass walk, illuminating the golden hollow arches on both sides, interspersed with tiny white diamonds, making the entire banquet hall dazzling with splendor.
