Chapter 553 - 525: Counterfeit Kiss
Chapter 553 - 525: Counterfeit Kiss
Sienna Thornton chatted with Zachary Grant for a while. After Simon Forrester finished talking with Gage Grant, she greeted Zachary and the others, ready to leave the Thorne Family with Simon. The air here even smelled of death, and she felt suffocated. She didn’t want to stay a moment longer.
She approached Simon Forrester. "Are we leaving?"
"Alright." Simon Forrester took her hand, greeted Zachary Grant and the others, and headed out of the Thorne Family.
Once in the car, Sienna Thornton took several deep breaths, then leaned exhaustedly and uncomfortably against the passenger seat.
Simon Forrester started the car, driving out of the old villa area. He asked, "What did Aunt Grant say to you?"
After gathering herself for a bit, Sienna Thornton said, "She entrusted me to be her agent, mainly handling Mina Thorne’s dowry arrangements."
Simon Forrester was surprised. "She actually left such matters to you? Hiring an outside lawyer would be better, right?"
Sienna Thornton smiled. "Who knows what she’s thinking." After speaking, she turned to look at the traffic outside the window, remained silent for a while, and continued, "I don’t want to handle this situation. It’s a thankless task. But, in that environment, I impulsively agreed."
Simon Forrester freed his right hand, which didn’t need to shift gears, to hold hers and comforted her, "Mina Thorne isn’t a difficult person to deal with. You don’t need to worry too much."
Due to client-lawyer privilege, Sienna Thornton couldn’t share too much of Aunt Grant’s request with Simon Forrester, leaving some of her internal conflicts and confusion unspoken.
She changed the subject, "This weekend, I want to invite friends over for dinner at our new home. What do you think?"
"Sure." Simon Forrester glanced at her, smiled, and said, "Saturday? Should we cook ourselves or have the villa’s chef come over to cook?"
"Yes, Saturday night." Sienna Thornton smiled, "Let’s have the chef come over. We can only make food for ourselves, not for guests."
"Alright."
Simon Forrester immediately called Old Master Forrester, asking to arrange for the chef to come cook at The Fenmore Villa on Saturday afternoon.
Over the car speakers came the robust voice of the elderly man, "Planning to have a party with friends?"
Sienna Thornton chuckled.
Simon Forrester also laughed, teasing, "Grandpa, quite stylish, eh? You know the word ’party’?"
Old Master Forrester snorted, "Your grandpa uses a smartphone too. So, how many people are partying?"
Simon Forrester looked at Sienna Thornton.
Sienna Thornton gestured six with her hand.
Simon Forrester thought for a moment and asked, "How about I invite my friends too? Saves us from organizing twice?"
Sienna Thornton nodded and smiled without objecting.
Simon Forrester redirected his gaze to the road conditions and told Old Master Forrester, "Grandpa, about twenty people for dinner."
"Alright." Old Master Forrester replied decisively, "That’s quite a few people. Your dining table won’t accommodate that many. Best host an outdoor buffet."
"Sure, sure, Grandpa, you’re the boss."
"Alright then, I’ll tell Flynn to get ready."
Flynn is the chef who has cooked for Old Master Forrester for decades, capable of making all sorts of dishes, including elaborate banquets. Simon Forrester grew up eating Flynn’s food.
After hanging up the phone, Simon Forrester flatteringly asked, "Did I handle that quickly enough?"
Sienna Thornton combined her index and middle fingers, kissed them lightly above her fingertips, then touched Simon Forrester’s cheek, praising, "You’re so awesome, hubby. Here’s a kiss for you."
Simon Forrester glanced at her, "I feel like that kiss was counterfeit."
Sienna Thornton laughed heartily, "We’ll see at home."
The two returned home. As soon as the car entered the garage, was turned off, with the keys still in place, Simon Forrester cheekily leaned over, "Hurry up."
Sienna Thornton was lost in thought and almost forgot about it, but seeing his face close-up, she quickly realized and planted a kiss on it with a smile.
Hand in hand, they entered the villa.
They’ve been moved in for a week now, but Sienna Thornton still can’t quite adjust to the atmosphere of the new home; while changing into slippers at the entrance, she started complaining again.
"This villa is too large, my feet are sore from walking," she said, pointing at the floor-to-ceiling dark glass wall occupying one side of the living room, "It looks too empty, not cozy at all, like a showroom."
Simon Forrester smiled, wrapping his arm around her, led her into the kitchen, took their matching water bottles from the dining table, poured two cups of warm water, and handed one to her.
"South African-style villas are like this. If you want more coziness, you’d want Japanese or Korean styles, but those are smaller, less grand and less appealing. Plus, you’ll appreciate the space when friends come over soon."
To this, Sienna Thornton had no comment.
In this domain, Simon Forrester was the expert; what he said was surely right.
Two years ago, when the villa’s renderings first came out, she saw them once and felt they were great. Even after the villa was built and she visited a few times, she thought it was nice, but living there, she quickly found it too big and empty.
Probably because she was accustomed to living in smaller houses since childhood.
It might take some time to adjust.
In the room, they went one after the other into the bathroom. Initially, Sienna Thornton planned to shower quickly, but Simon Forrester was already cleaning the bathtub and running the hot water, saying she was too tired tonight and should take a soak for better sleep.
So she quickly rinsed her body and immersed herself in the tub.
The bathtub was a round, built-in model, custom-ordered overseas by Simon Forrester, currently the world’s most advanced massage bathtub.
The space is ample, fit for a man like Simon Forrester, who is nearly 1.9 meters tall and well-built, to lie down, plus a 1.7-meter-tall Sienna Thornton, letting both bathe together without any constraint.
The bathtub, besides essential constant-temperature features, also had silicone massage points on the side and various directional water jets that could massage all body acupoints.
Sienna Thornton soaked in the tub, the constant-temperature 38-degree water covering her shoulders and neck, making her sigh comfortably.
Simon Forrester sat behind her, first dripping a few drops of rose essence into the water, then added some to his palm, beginning to massage her stiff neck and shoulders.
Sienna Thornton leaned her head back, closing her eyes, enjoying the service of a man worth billions.
After a while, she suddenly laughed repeatedly.
Simon Forrester, knowing her laughter wasn’t good, applied more pressure and bowed his head, approaching her ear, asking, "What’s funny?"
She opened her eyes, tilted her head back to look at him, her eyes appearing clear and moist due to the bathroom steam, stirring Simon Forrester’s heart, wanting to kiss her.
She laughed mischievously, "Before we got together, when I stayed at your place, you once got drunk, right? I helped you into your bathroom for a bath. While running the water, I was quite curious about that tub, feeling it was different from those on the market."
Simon Forrester laughed, "So, you secretly used it when I wasn’t home?"
