Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike

Chapter 663 - 634: Reason

Chapter 663 - 634: Reason

When Simon Forrester came out of the Forrester Family’s old house with bottled water and a damp disposable towel, Sienna Thornton was still bent over, vomiting. In fact, her stomach was already empty, and she was purely retching up bile.Simon quickly ran over, handed her the towel, and gently patted her back: "Let’s go to the hospital."

Sienna waved her hand, took the water from him, drank it down, and spat it out again. She wiped her lips forcefully with the towel and pressed against his arm to stand upright.

"Let’s go back to the old house first!" Sienna suppressed the mixed emotions of anger and grievance in her heart, her voice completely changed, "Hurry!"

Simon immediately escorted her towards the gate of the Forrester Family’s old house.

Quentin Thorne and Seth Sutton followed behind.

Sienna seemed completely drained, leaning weakly against Simon’s embrace, stumbling as she followed him back to the old house.

All four entered the outer courtyard, with Seth locking the gate from the inside. In the inner courtyard, the living room lights were on, and Old Master Forrester and Sylvia Langley were waiting for their return.

Sienna only wanted to speak with Simon privately at this moment and didn’t want to face the Forrester Family, so she didn’t plan to enter the living room. She forced herself to stay alert and told Quentin, "Dad, you sit in the living room for a bit. I need to talk to Simon."

Her eyes were so red they seemed to bleed, and Quentin sensed something was amiss. He wanted to ask her if something had happened in Zachary Grant’s study earlier, but seeing the Forrester Family around, he swallowed his words.

He glanced at the nearby courtyard wall of the Grant Family, gritted his teeth, and said, "Okay, I’ll chat with Uncle Forrester for a bit first. You two go in and talk, call me if anything happens." After saying this, he patted Sienna’s shoulder and took Seth into the inner hall.

As soon as he left, Sienna’s mouth turned down, and the tears that had been swirling in her eyes turned into an unstoppable stream.

The shadow cast by the eaves of the inner courtyard walls behind her fell over her face, preventing Simon from noticing that his wife was biting her lip and shedding tears.

He led Sienna back to their room, and as he turned to close the door, Sienna suddenly lunged into his arms, burying her face in his neck.

He spread his arms and held her tightly in his embrace.

Soon, he felt a warm dampness on his neck. The person in his arms was trembling, the sound akin to a thousand pounds of grievance, suppressed to the point of silent, violent shaking.

His heart ached, and he quickly carried the wounded little creature in his arms to the bed, speaking softly to comfort her: "It’s okay, everyone knows the truth now, and the Grant Family can no longer spread rumors. Don’t be sad."

Sienna continued to cry, holding him and sobbing quietly, her body trembling violently.

She had never cried like this before, not even when she was held for two days at the police station...

Simon held his wife, turning his head to look at the door. That direction faced the backyard of the Grant Family.

Instinct told him that Sienna must have been threatened during the private negotiation with Zachary Grant.

He didn’t press her immediately, calmly waiting for her to finish venting.

.

Sienna didn’t know how long she cried. She only felt a deep ache in her brain and throat. Most terrifying of all was Zachary Grant’s final words, lingering in her mind incessantly.

Whenever she thought of Zachary’s face, she felt so nauseated that she wanted to throw up, her body trembling uncontrollably. She almost used all her strength to hold herself up to avoid collapsing...

She used what little rationality she had to weigh whether or not to tell Simon about this.

She was worried that if Simon knew the reasons, he might impulsively do something irreversible. But someone like Zachary, he must have preyed on her thoughts, knowing she wouldn’t dare tell Simon, which was why he confidently and shamelessly said those things to her.

If she swallowed it down today for the sake of peace, she’d fall into Zachary’s trap, and in the future, he would continue to harass her, maybe even use bolder means!

.

Sienna took some time to suppress her emotions, holding Simon’s hands, and said calmly: "I need to tell you something, but you must stay calm!"

"Okay." Simon’s heart was filled with a sense of foreboding.

Sienna gritted her back teeth, mustering courage: "Earlier, Zachary called me into the study and implied that I could engage in a quid pro quo with him."

She didn’t mention Zachary wanting her to sit on his lap, subtly implying that even with a circle of friends in high places, Simon would be of no use, nor did she bring up the lure of power, money, or Old Master Grant’s apology used to tempt her. She left all that out, fearing that if Simon heard it, he might rush over to the Grant Family next door and beat Zachary to death.

But even after saying those four words, she regretted it.

At that moment, she suddenly felt she shouldn’t have brought it up at all!

She observed Simon’s expression carefully, full of trepidation.

Simon was stunned for a few seconds, then held her tightly, kissed her ear, and whispered: "I’ll go see if Tobias and the others have left, you rest in the room, I’ll come to take you home later." After saying this, he stood up swiftly.

Sienna caught up and grabbed his hand, her eyes red and her voice choked: "Please, calm down, let’s discuss it together!"

Simon turned back and hugged her: "I’m fine, I’m just going to see if they’ve left. I’ll be back soon."

After he said this, he left the room without looking back.

Sienna snapped back and ran out, but Simon was already gone. Just as she was about to go to the inner hall to call Quentin, Quentin and Seth had already come out after her.

"Where did Rex go?" Quentin was anxious too, "What did you say to him?"

Sienna cried, "He went to the Grant Family... it’s all my fault... I shouldn’t have told him those things..."

Quentin turned to glance at Old Master Forrester and Sylvia Langley, who were still sitting in the living room. He pulled Sienna towards The East Wing, lowering his voice as they walked: "Did Zachary bully you?"

Sienna nodded tearfully.

Quentin said nothing more, his chest heaving violently under his suit, nostrils flaring, his anger reaching its peak.

He took Sienna into The East Wing and told her to stay in the room, locking the door from the outside when he left.

Seth was waiting outside, and as soon as Quentin came out, he immediately followed along with him.

The two arrived at the Grant Family’s house, where the front door was wide open. As they proceeded inside, they hadn’t reached the inner courtyard before hearing shouts of men and women: "Stop fighting! Stop it, don’t fight!"

"They’re fighting!" Seth shouted, and ran ahead of Quentin into the room.

Several thugs were blocked outside the hall door by Tobias Blackwood.

Seth rushed into the living room.

The living room was in chaos.

Pieces of shattered porcelain littered the floor, couches and chairs were askew, and a hole was punched in the television on the wall.

Kevin Chaucer was up against two, pinning Grant Two against the wall with his hands behind his back, and Zollner had The Eldest Grant pinned in a corner.

Jack Hawthorne and Logan Lockwood were holding back Old Man Blackwood.

And Simon Forrester...
